Andalusians were a silicon-based lifeform known to the United Federation of Planets.
In 2275, some Andalusians were serving on board the USS Enterprise. At the crew mixer, Harb Tanzer was explaining to James T. Kirk the ingredients of his silicon based dip, and that silicon beings like Naraht would eat it. Only the Andalusian crewmen would not eat it for religious reasons, even though they like it.
