An Andorian freighter is a type of starship used by the Andorians since at least the 22nd century. (ENT episode: "Babel One")
Specifications[]
Like other civilian and military Andorian ships, the freighter's hull was long and narrow. The warp nacelles were mounted on support struts on either side of the primary hull. The struts were designed to carry additional cargo pods. (TNG - The Fall novel: Peaceable Kingdoms)
History[]
In November 2154, Valdore's drone-ship destroyed six Andorian freighters along the Tellarite border, as part of the Romulan plan to destabilize the region. (ENT episode: "Babel One")
In 2369, an Andorian freighter was scheduled to dock at Deep Space 9 for a maintenance check. It was rumored to be carrying a shipment of new antigravity tractors, which Jake Sisko and Nog planned to see. (DS9 episode: "The Nagus")
In 2372, an Andorian freighter was about to depart DS9 for Andor when Quark and Nog were trying to escape the space station. Lieutenant Carlien Anra and Sergeant Onial had several Militia officers block their access to the freighter. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
In October 2385, the Andorian freighter Cereshta became embroiled in a conspiracy. After Cereshta's all-Andorian crew complement was dispatched, the ship left derelict in the Drazen Nebula and setup as a trap to damage or destroy USS Enterprise-E. The Enterprise escaped the destruction of Cereshta with minor damage. (TNG - The Fall novel: Peaceable Kingdoms)
During the Federation-Klingon War of 2405-2410, starships affiliated with the Klingon Defense Force occasionally raided Andorian freighters in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. (STO missions: "Disable Andorian Freighter", "Surface Tension")
