In the Mirror Universe, Androvar Drake was a high-ranking officer who usurped and ruled over Heihachiro Nogura in 2272, but was himself assassinated by James T. Kirk in 2277, who thereafter took Drake's title - Emperor - as his own (TOS novel Spectre).
