In the Kelvin timeline, the Angosian system was situated inside Federation territory and Angosia V was a Federation world by the year 2263. The area was under constant patrol from Starfleet due to frequent conflicts in the 2260s. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
It is the site of and independent colony that was considered a haven for Nausicaans, Orions and Takarans seeking asylum in the Federation. It was at some point attacked by the Klingon separatistsw who took refuge on an installation built in the upper atmosphere of Angosia V. (ST video game: Fleet Command: Bystanders)
