Animation Ultragraphics was a business based in the United Federation of Planets in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

Animation Ultragraphics was a producer of documentaries and animated video productions. Founded in the mid 2240s decade, on reference stardate 1/8809.2, its media involved the Cygnian technique of using holography embedded with subliminal psychological triggers to enhance a scene's emotional impact. Its productions were marketed on the homeworlds of its founders, Earth and Tellar, as well as on Cygnet XIV and Alpha Centauri. Animation Ultragraphics maintained facilities on Cygnet XIV. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)

According to a profile published by UFP Commerce Review, company funding initially came from the profits of the co-founders' first joint venture, a popular animated adaptation of Arrv Delepphid's comic strip "Klingon Follies". The company's first releases were that film's animated sequels and various short films. From its origins as a two-man shop, the company had grown by the year 2270 to more than 1,000 employees. At that time it was developing the two-hour movie On the Planet Topaz VI. (Stardate Magazine vol. 1, Issue 1: "Corporate Profile: Animation Ultragraphics")

In 2270, Animation Ultragraphics released Grilphtt II: The Rankor of Doolfa ahead of the Topaz VI project. (Stardate Magazine vol. 1, Issue 5/6: "Making Your First Million")

As of the 2290s (reference stardate 2/2306.01), its stock was still being publicly traded on the Federation stock exchange under the symbol AnUgrc. At this time, the company was working to expand its market into the Orion Colonies. Its stock profile was 2D66, an indication of moderate stability. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
