Anne Nored was a Human woman, a lieutenant who served as a security officer aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s.

History

Prior to 2264, Nored and her fiancé Carter Winston visited the mining colony on Pangea for a relief mission. They were there for four months. As it was a high-gravity planet, she considered the trip "one hell of a workout". (TOS novel: The Face of the Unknown)

In 2264, Winston disappeared and was presumed lost. She resolved not to let their relationship define her future. (TAS episode & Log Two novelization: The Survivor, TOS novel: The Face of the Unknown)

In mid-2269, she transferred to the USS Enterprise. She joined a landing party along with James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy, and Hikaru Sulu to beam aboard a Betelgeusian ship and study the bodies of several Dassik. During her first real field test when she could be evaluated by Kirk, she suffered smoke inhalation and muscle strain, but McCoy assessed her to be a very determined individual. (TOS novel: The Face of the Unknown)

In December 2269, she was reunited with Winston, though he turned out to be a Vendorian impersonator. When exposed as a Romulan spy, she was still hesitant to stun him with her phaser because of who he represented. (TAS episode & Log Two novelization: The Survivor)

She transferred off the Enterprise at the Valeria system as the security detail for Carter Winston (Vendorian) while he stood trial for espionage. (TAS - Log Two novelization: The Lorelei Signal)
