An antimatter bomb is a type of weapon, an explosive that uses antimatter as the charge.

History and specifics[]

Although stable quantities of antimatter are difficult to obtain and store, once they are present they make this sort of bomb very easy to produce and detonate, as antimatter naturally causes total annihilation when it comes in contact with matter. in the absense of any more sophisticated fusing mechanism, an antimatter bomb can detonate simply by deactivating whatever protective measures are in place to separate the antimatter from surrounding material.
