An antimatter weapon is a type of weapon that utilizes antimatter's potential for annihilation against an enemy target. Because of antimatter's extreme destructive potential, antimatter weapons are usually only useful at long distances, or in suicidal, mutual annihilation tactics.

The Vulcans first developed antimatter weapons during Surak's lifetime. (TOS novel: Spock's World)

Unlike fission and fusion bombs, antimatter weapons produce a swift pulse of heat and gamma radiation, with no residual radiation or fallout. (TNG novel: Debtors' Planet)
