Apek was a male Tenkaran miner, and a member of a dissident group led by Rivaj.

In the year 2267, Apek had taken part in the plot to kidnap Starfleet physician Leonard McCoy, in order to treat the injured Rivaj, but was captured by Starfleet forces himself. He was held at "Fort Fed" on Tenkara, and subjected to torturous interrogation by Lieutenant Commander Joe Wilder. Apek nearly died of his injuries, but was saved by McCoy after he had been released by his captors. (TOS - Constellations short story: "Official Record")
