In 2151, the Enterprise (NX-01) is launched from Earth orbit. (ENT novelization: Broken Bow; episode: "Fortunate Son").

In 2248, William Thorvaldsen and Bennings were killed by the Shark (TOS novel Best Destiny).

The USS Enterprise travels back to observe the launch of a nuclear weapons platform by the United States of America and observe the following diplomatic crisis that ensued following the launch. (TOS episode: "Assignment: Earth").
