The Ar'Kif-class tactical warbird was a class of starship fielded by the Romulan Republican Force in the early 25th century. (ST video game: Star Trek Online)
History
Along with its sister design the Ar'Kala-class, the Ar'Kif-class warbird was the first class of vessel wholly designed by the Romulan Republic rather than being a re-purposed Romulan Star Empire design. It was designed and built at New Romulus Shipyards and entered service in late 2409. (ST video game: Star Trek Online)
Technical data
An Ar'Kif-class warbird fires a singularity beam at an Elachi Monbosh-class battleship.
Like all warbirds the Ar'Kif-class featured a standard Romulan cloaking device. Unique to the class was the focused singularity modulator device, which enabled the vessel to fire a potent beam weapon.
Some Ar'Kif-class hulls featured an expanded hangar bay that could support a squadron of Scorpion-class fighters. Most of its structural sections were cross-compatible with the Ar'Kala-class. (ST video game: Star Trek Online)
