Arama was a 23rd century Vulcan/Quodarian hybrid woman, the Queen of Quodar.

Biography[]

Arama's father had been Vulcan's ambassador to Quodar. By the 2260s decade, she had become her world's leading government authority. Her people trusted her implicitly despite her tendency to be reclusive.

In 2266, Quodor was admitted to the Federation. An entourage from the USS Enterprise would attend a celebratory gala in the capital city, but the shuttle carrying Captain James T. Kirk and Admiral Tailen Kahn crashed on neighboring Tristas, a world that had severed diplomatic contact with Quodar. Arama would not permit a rescue mission to be sent, as it would be considered an act of war, and sent word of her decision to Commander Spock via her Secretary of Affairs, T'Oell.

Spock sneaked into the queen's residence for a private audience, and she spoke with him. They agreed that war could be averted if he stole a transport himself to help Kirk and the others. Later, after Kirk's party was recovered, Arama attended the ceremony in the capital city. (TOS comic: "The Final Truth")
