The Arbiter-class was a type of starship, a Federation battlecruiser in Starfleet service in the early 25th century.

History and specifications[]

The Arbiter-class was introduced as one of three Tier 6 battlecruiser prototypes developed by the Alpha Quadrant Alliance to combat the invading Iconian Empire. Each prototype was based on an existing, proven design — in the Arbiter's case, it was a new subclass based on the Avenger-class design. The Arbiter-class, Kurak-class, and Morrigu-class prototypes were the first starships equipped with the new ablative hazard shielding consoles.
