Ardan IV was a planet, the fourth planet in the Ardan star system. It was rich in dilithium.
History[]
In 2165, the planet was a site of a Federation outpost. That year, the Klingon Empire launched an attack on the outpost. Thanks to a warning from Klingon captain Worik, all of the outpost's personnel were evacuated, but the Klingon vessels' suicide run ignited the planet's dilithium deposits, destroying the outpost and most of the planet's surface.
