Ardon Broht was a 24th century Bolian man, a publisher of the holonovel company Broht & Forrester.

Biography[]

In the year 2377, the Doctor, EMH of the Federation starship USS Voyager, approached Broht to publish his holonovel Photons Be Free. When the Doctor tried to make revisions to tone down the unflattering depictions of Kathryn Janeway and her crew, Broht published the work, claiming that the EMH had no rights as a hologram. The EMH went to a Federation arbitrator and was given the rights to his work. (VOY episode: "Author, Author")

In 2385, Broht attempted to get the rights to Vulcan Love Slave. (DS9 novel: Lust's Latinum Lost (and Found))

In 2420, Broht was convicted of money laundering for a Ferengi gangster and sentenced to five years at the New Zealand Penal Colony. (STO novel: The Needs of the Many)
