The Argus IV creature is a member of an otherwise unnamed planet-sized cosmozoan species.
Biography[]
The creature lay dormant within Argus IV until 2274, when it began moving, triggering increasing earthquakes. The Federation starship USS Enterprise evacuated a thermium mining colony on the surface shortly before witnessing the birth of the entity.
Shortly afterward, it headed away from the Argus system's star. Enterprise left sensor probes behind to track and study it. (TOS comic: "It's a Living")
