Argus is a star with an associated system located within the Argus sector in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant.

History and specifics[edit | edit source]

Argus consists of one type M red star with a planetary system, the orbit of which includes the tenth planet, Argus X. Argus was located in the general vicinity of Alpha Ophiuchi, Alpha Coronae Borealis, Beta Aquilae, 31 Aquilae and Rymus. (ST reference: Star Charts)

Another star chart denoted Argus within Quadrant 4 in the general vicinity of Elba II and the Black Star of Sector 006. (ST reference: Star Trek Maps)

It was located in the neutral Argus sector. (STO mission: "Reckoning")

It was six days' travel from Starbase 22. (TOS comic: "It's a Living")

An extinct civilization made up of clones once lived on sixth planet Argus VI. (TOS - Leonard McCoy, Frontier Doctor comic: "Medics")

In the 23rd century, a private thermium mining colony was established in the system by Humans. (TOS comic: "It's a Living")

In 2268, the USS Enterprise visited the system and surveyed the uninhabited Argus X. A dikironium cloud creature killed several members of the landing party. (TOS episode & Star Trek 9 novelization: Obsession; TOS novel: The Rift)

In 2274, a cosmozoan was born in the system. (TOS comic: "It's a Living")
