Ariana La Forge was a female Human in the 24th century, born in the late 2330s, the daughter of Edward and Silva La Forge, and the younger sister of Geordi La Forge. (TNG episode: "Interface")
She grew up in Mogadishu on Earth, and attended Zefram Cochrane High School. Growing up, La Forge resented the importance Starfleet played in the lives of her parents, with one or the other usually gone on assignment. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace) As a girl, she trained her pet cat to jump into her arms on command, by keeping a piece of tuna in her blouse for two months. (TNG episode: "Force of Nature")
Following high school, La Forge attended college, and in the mid 2360s had a daughter, Nadifa. She continued to live in Mogadishu into the 2380s. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)
