Aronnax Station was a Federation scientific base located on the planet Pacifica, dedicated to studying the remote regions of that world's oceans. Starfleet Lieutenant Commander Amsta-Iber was assigned as Aronnax Station's chief meteorologist during the early 2380s. Most of the Starfleet personnel at Aronnax were recalled and reassigned following the Borg attacks on Barolia and Acamar in early 2381. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

Aronnax Station is likely named for the fictional marine biologist in Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
