Artaleirh was a planet, the third planet of the Artaleirh system and a colony of the Romulan Star Empire. It was originally settled by descendants of the Rihannsu Ship-Clans. (TOS - Rihannsu novels: Honor Blade, The Empty Chair)

History and specifics[]

In the year 2276, Artaleirhin used modified mining technology to defeat a flotilla of incoming Grand Fleet ships, moving into open rebellion. (TOS - Rihannsu novel: Honor Blade)

Artaleirh was home to Free Rihannsu sympathizers during the Romulan Civil War of that year. (TOS - Rihannsu novel: The Empty Chair)

In mid-2380, Commander Donatra brought her ship, the IRW Valdore, to Artaleirh for repairs, knowing of a shipyard master there loyal to her. (TNG novel: Q & A)

Following the split of the Imperial Romulan State from the Star Empire in 2380, Artaleirh lost the planet Virinat as its primary food supplier. The USS Aventine brought a shipment of aid to the city of Trilakas on Artaleirh in early 2381. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)

In 2381, protests were held on Artaleirh to demand that the two Romulan states be reunified. (ST - Typhon Pact novel: Rough Beasts of Empire)
