Aschelan V was a planet located in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, the fifth planet in orbit of the Aschelan star system, in the space of the Cardassian Union. Aschelan V was the site of a Cardassian fuel depot near the Badlands. It was the target of the Cardassian Dreadnought weapon which was reprogrammed by the Maquis. The weapon was intercepted first by the Caretaker Array and sent to the Delta Quadrant where it targeted the inhabited planet Rakosa V. (VOY episode: "Dreadnought")
