Ashcraft was a 23rd century Human man. He served in Starfleet as a communications officer aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise in the 2270s under the command of Captain James T. Kirk.
Biography[]
In 2273, the young Ashcraft sent a coded transmission to Starfleet. At the end of his duty shift, he showed the message to Nyota Uhura, and she silently approved the code he'd used, which gave him great relief. Later, he contacted a geology shuttle, Elasians on Rakatan, Dohlman Israi, and received a subspace communication from Uhura on the Gamow. (TOS novel: Firestorm)
