Asherman was a male human, a security guard aboard the USS Enterprise in the year 2267.
History[]
While on assignment guarding a 10,000-year-old mummy, Asherman complained to fellow guard Manning that they were "playing nursemaid" to a corpse, but shortly afterward both were knocked unconscious. Asherman was unaware that the mummy had attacked him, overrode navigational settings in the main computer, then quietly returned to its sarcophagus.
Later, while maintaining his post, Asherman joked about the mummy moments before it strangled him and entered main engineering. (TOS comic: "The Mummies of Heitius VII")
