Ashur was a Zeon male in the 24th century. A mercenary, he was recruited into Active Four by Starfleet Ground Forces Lieutenant Colonel Jan Kincade.
Ashur sported a number of tattoos consisting of Zeon religious texts.
Following revelations that Kincade was torturing prisoners to death, Ashur was persuaded to join Nog, Tuvok, and Thomas Riker in opposing Kincade. Ashur died at the hands of the Elloran Sahde when she vaporized him with her phaser. (ST - The Fall novel: The Poisoned Chalice)
