History and specifications[]
Horace Jones, an enterprising Human merchant in the 23rd century, claimed to have salvaged, refitted and jury-rigged Asobi Station in Federation space. He moved the station in to deep space, on the edge of the Shackleton Expanse in the Beta Quadrant, in the lawless region close to the Klingon Empire.
In the year 2371, Asobi Station lay outside usual trade routes but was a port for Klingon and Starfleet ships, among visitors of illicit character. Records could not verify the station's origin as Jones claimed it. (Adventures RPG module: Beta Quadrant Sourcebook)
