Assaf Golav was a prison world operated by the Romulan Star Empire during the 2370s. Its overseers were known for being extremely cruel.

In 2379, Poyaran was sent to this prison for a year after attempting to "steal" a chalice from Eborion. (TNG novel: Death in Winter)
