Ataan was a young Heiren male who was employed as Perris Nodarh's attendant. In 2265, Perris informed Ataan of Gary Mitchell's death, who became distraught at receiving the news, as Mitchell had helped bring about the Great Reconciliation on Heir'tzan. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Enterprise)
