Athene Donald was a British physicist in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Biography[]

Athene Donald was born 15 May, 1953 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science, before getting a PhD in 1977.

Donald became a Professor of Experimental Physics in 1998, with a primary field of study being in soft matter physics and its applications to living organisms and the relationship between structure and other properties.

By 2385, Donald had a ship named after her, the Athene Donald, an Olympic-class research vessel, captained by Director of Research Maurita Tanj. The ship's mission was to promote peace through science and exploration. (DS9 novel: The Missing)
