The Atlanta Constitution was a daily newspaper first published in 1868 in the Earth city of Atlanta. It continued to publish daily until 2001, when it was merged with the Atlanta Journal to become the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It remained in operation as a news service at least through the mid-23rd century, though at some prior point it reverted to its original name. (TOS novel: The Final Reflection)
History[]
In the 1930 of a timeline he had altered following his journey through the Guardian of Forever, Dr. Leonard McCoy placed numerous classified ads in the Atlanta Constitution, among other newspapers, hoping to attract the notice of any rescuers. In later years, living in South Carolina, McCoy often read the Atlanta Constitution for its reporting of current events. (TOS novel: Provenance of Shadows)
