The Atlec security vessel or Atlec starship was a 24th century Coalition of Madena spacecraft type, a class 7[1] Monarch-class[3] security vessel variant in service of the people of planet Atlec in the 2360s decade. Service history and specifics[]
A humanoid species, potentially the Argelians[4], colonized the Omega Sagitta star system in the 22nd century. They settled the worlds of Atlec and Straleb and formed the Coalition of Madena. By the 24th century, the people of both worlds deployed starships capable of interplanetary travel. (TNG episode: "The Outrageous Okona")
The Merchantman in 2285.
The Monarch-class was a Federation freighter design constructed by the Axanarri production firm Velosi at the Antares Ship Yards from the 2240s decade. (Decipher RPG module: Starships)
The civilian freighter Merchantman was a vessel of that class. It was propelled by a quad of engine nozzles at the aft end. The bridge dome set atop an angular primary hull, which was connected with the engines through a boxy secondary hull. The ship was rust- or red colored. (TOS movie: The Search for Spock)
Visually, the 24th century Atlec vessel followed the shape of the Monarch class and shared, at least outwardly, its components. The Atlec starship was 150 meters long and armed with lasers. Lasers were no match for a Federation Starfleet starship but the security vessel was a match for a Straleb security vessel. The Atlec security vessel's hull was colored purple. In 2365, Atlec's planetary leader Debin commanded an Atlec security vessel during a standoff with a Stralebian ship and the Federation Galaxy-class explorer USS Enterprise. Starfleet's involvement contributed to a peaceful resolution of the "Okona incident". (TNG episode: "The Outrageous Okona")
