Aton was a Kaylar male of the 24th century. He was one of the Kaylar workers contracted to provide construction and repair services on Votar VII, a Federation colony world being developed as a joint venture with Rigelians in the 2360s.
After contract renegotiations fell through, Aton joined Administrator Areen in forcibly repossessing a dam and power station from the Rigelians. Aton switched off power supplies to the colony (TNG comic: "A Matter of Dates").
