An autograph was a signature of a notable person.

History and specifics[]

Q asked for Spock's autograph when the two visited Earth in 1999. Spock provided one, but Q didn't like that was written simply as "To Q, from Spock". (ST audiobook: Spock vs. Q)

In the year 2268, aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise, Benjamin Sisko was able to obtain James T. Kirk's autograph by providing Kirk with a Starfleet crew manifest to sign. (DS9 episode & novelization: Trials and Tribble-ations)

Sisko chose not to tell Temporal Investigations agents Dulmur and Lucsly he had Kirk's autograph in case they confiscated it. (DS9 novelization: Trials and Tribble-ations)
