Aylam Edeen was a female Bajoran. She was born in the late 2340s and had blond hair.
When she was a girl, she often saw doctors operating on Resistance members with scalpels, needles, cauterizing chemicals and other invasive medical instruments. This would lead to her finding advanced medical technology somewhat remote and disorienting to her.
Aylam later became an intern and a resident in Musilla University's hospital during the later years of the Occupation of Bajor, where she often treated those caught up in the conflict between the Resistance and the Cardassians. Aylam later joined the Militia's medical corps.
In 2377, Aylam was assigned to Deep Space 9 as its main Militia doctor after Girani Semna transferred to Bajor. Just four days after she began her duties, she helped Julian Bashir and Simon Tarses operate on and treat Kira Nerys and Ro Laren, who had been brutally attacked by Taran'atar. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
