Azha,[1] also referred to as Eta Eridani,[1] was star with an associated star system, located in the Aldebaran sector[2] of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant, within the Federation's borders. (ST reference: Star Charts; STO - Allies mission: "Tradecraft")
History and specifics[]
Azha was an orange[2] K class star with a magnitude of +4.1 and visible from Earth in the Eridanus constellation. (ST reference: Star Charts)
- In ST video game: Starfleet Command III gameplay, this name was part of a list that were applied to systems on the game map, with random attributes assigned to them.
The Eta Eridani sector block was named for this location. It included Azha's native Aldebaran sector. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Neutral Zone Diplomacy")
By 2409 the associated star system contained a number of space stations. (STO - Allies mission: "Tradecraft", sector space tooltip)
Several Dhelan-class starships fought alongside the RRW Deihu in the Azha system against a Tal Shiar force, defending the IRW Aethra under Charva. (STO - Allies mission: "Tradecraft")
Alternate timelines[]
In a version of the Kelvin timeline, Azha was located in the Neutral Zone, a swath of space coveted between the Federation, Klingon Empire and Romulan Star Empire. In the 2260s decade, the system was patrolled by Suliban nomads and lay within several light-years from the Klingon border. The system was rich with asteroids suitable for mining 2*-rated raw crystal. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
In the year 2262, the artificial intelligence Maia and her Independent commander responded to a distress call from the uninhabited planet Magmas. (ST video game: Fleet Command mission: "Uncaged")
