B Hydri was a star among the star systems visible from Earth in the constellation of Hydrus.
History and specifics[]
B Hydri was located in the Great Rift region, and had a planet charted in its orbit that was actually an appearance of the intellivore. A Federation colonization mission dispatched to the planet disappeared, presumably devoured by the intellivore.
It was located a kiloparsec from 334 Scorpii. (TNG novel: Intellivore)
- The star's name has the notation of a Bayer designated star, with a letter and the constellation's genitive name. However, no stars with letters have been so named in Hydrus in "real life".
