Bael Nomine was a male Betazoid cadet at Starfleet Academy in the 2370s.
Biography[]
He was an expert in holography, and was able to adapt and perfect the holographic technology seized from the con artist Ardra, allowing him to change his appearance at will.
He was recruited into Red Squad, and assigned by Admiral James Leyton to Starbase 375, under Commander Ishmael Snowden. There, he was ordered to set off a bomb, made to look like the work of the Dominion, in order to bolster Leyton's call for increased security measures. However, when he was ordered to set off a second bomb onboard the USS Enterprise-E, certain to cause a large number of casualties, he balked, and turned against Leyton and Snowden. He was then taken into custody and returned to Earth to face a court martial. (TNG - Slings and Arrows eBook: The Oppressor's Wrong)
