Balitor was a Narisian female who lived from somewhere in the mid 2200s to the early 2300s, and the grandmother of Garamet and Wahlkon. Baltior was one of the Narisian Inner Circle who worked on technology given to their world by the Wise Ones through the Proctors, and had been given an implant to control her thoughts and actions.

In an alternate timeline where Montgomery Scott rescued James T. Kirk before he could be absorbed into the Nexus, Balitor served as an Alliance communications officer aboard the Wisdom under Commander Varkan, and was an unwilling spy for the Borg. When Scotty's shuttlecraft and the USS Enterprise-D arrived in 2293, Balitor risked activating her Link and unknowingly became linked to the Borg Queen. When the Queen analyzed the information provided to her and discovered that former Locutus of Borg Jean-Luc Picard was nearby, she possessed Balitor's body and attempted to kill him, attacking security officer Ensign Porfirio and stealing his phaser. Balitor was subdued by ship's security, and the Queen terminated her life, along with all other Narisians with implants throughout the Alliance. (Star Trek novel: Engines of Destiny)
