By the year 3189, Bandra had reached the rank of captain and gained the position of starship commander, operating from the hidden Federation Headquarters.
When the time-displaced 23rd century starship USS Discovery reported for duty, Bandra was one of the captains present at a briefing when Commander in Chief Vance revealed the existence and significance of Discovery's displacement activated spore hub drive. Vance ordered Bandra to take the Le Guin on a two-month supply run to Na'Seth. (DSC episode: "Scavengers")
In 3190, Bandra was one of the Starfleet captains participating in a meeting led by Federation President Laira Rillak regarding the threat posed by the gravitational anomaly that had destroyed Deep Space Repair Beta Six and the planet Kwejian. (DSC episode: "Anomaly (DSC episode)")
