Bannoo stalk was a type of plant lifeform from the Delta Quadrant, found on the Mokra homeworld and cultivated by the Mokra civilization. The bannoo stalk was known by the Talaxian traveler Neelix to be the source of weequa, a grain substance. Weequa grain comes away from the stalk during lightning storms in the atmosphere and falls to the ground, and the Mokra then collect the grain for food. (ST reference: Star Trek Cookbook)
