Barbecue sauce (also known as BBQ sauce) is a type of sauce used in food preparation by the Human civilization of the planet Earth.

History and specifics

Barbecue sauce is traditionally used in varieties of outdoor preparation where meat, poultry or other food is smoked or grilled with open flame. Barbecue cooking was popularized in the 19th century and 20th century, and included numerous combinations of ingredients, including tomato base, vinegar and chili pepper seasonings.
