The Barkonians were a type of sapient alien lifeform, a humanoid civilization native to class M homeworld planet Barkon IV, located in the Barkon star system in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant.
History and specifics[]
In the 24th century, the Barkonians' homeworld was in or near the boundaries of Federation space being explored by the Starfleet starship Enterprise-D in the 2370s decade. In the year 2370, the Enterprise observed the Barkonians as having a pre-contact level of development. (TNG episode: "Thine Own Self")
