Barodeem

The Barodeem.

The Barodeem was an important landmark on the planet Bajor which served as an archive for Bajoran culture across the millennia and had been crafted the architects of the Charna family. It was notable for being a beautiful structure to outsiders that visited the area it was located and served as a repository for Bajoran civilization.

During the Occupation of Bajor, the Cardassian Kotan Darek threatened the Bajoran architect Charna Sar by claiming that he would destroy the Barodeem unless she helped him design a space station that was to serve as a mining platform above Bajor. As her ancestors had constructed the Barodeem in the past, Sar reluctantly agreed to help Kotan Darek and the Cardassian Union began construction of the space station. (DS9 comic: "Terok Nor")

The comic which features the Barodeem initially refers to it under that name but on the next page it has Darek refer to it as the Baradeem.
