The Batris was a Talarian Antares-class freighter in service in the mid-24th century. She was equipped with merculite rockets. The Batris was hijacked by Klingon Captain Korris and his associates in 2364. The battle cruiser IKS T'acog, which was in pursuit of these Klingons, engaged the freighter. Though the Batris was victorious, the victory was a Pyrrhic win with the freighter mortally wounded. Later on, the Federation starship USS Enterprise, after gaining awareness of the battle, entered the battlefield and her crew retrieved the three Klingons from the self-destructing Batris.
