Battery Park is a public park located at the Battery, the southern tip of Manhattan Island in New York City.
History and specifics[]
By the 23rd century, Starfleet maintained a transporter facility at the park, in a forty-story edifice overlooking the East River. In late 2265, James T. Kirk used the facility to transport from San Francisco to Manhattan so that he could visit the parents of his deceased friend, Gary Mitchell, prior to his funeral service.
