The battle of Aurelia was fought between the Federation Starfleet and T'Uerell's Borg Collective in 2380. (ST video game: Legacy)

History[]

Prelude[]

In 2380, following the Battle of the Bassen Rift, T'Uerell, the infamous rogue Vulcan scientist, returned to Federation space leading a Borg Collective. In the Aurelius region, T'Uerell, aboard the Seleya flanked by two Borg cubes and two obelisks, was addressed by Admiral Janeway of the USS Voyager and Captain Picard of the Enterprise, the latter of whom she knew as Locutus. Though the Starfleet leaders requested that she withdraw, she in turn demanded their surrender. Picard observed that there was no true Vulcan left within her and that she would not stop until every planet became her desired paradise. Entrusting Picard to take command of the fleet, Janeway left to assemble reinforcements. (ST video game: Legacy)

The Battle[]

T'Uerell left the system to her Borg armada, led by two Borg cubes, which began the assault on the Aurelius region. In anticipation, Captain Picard gave the order for all Federation civilians in the system to be evacuated to safety at Starbase 127, with the populace being forced to make the journey aboard impulse transports which quickly became a target of the Borg. As a result, Picard's forces moved to provide protection to the transports suggesting that, by harassing the cubes, they would provide enough of a distraction to allow more transports to be launched. However, Picard predicted that Starfleet would not be able to hold the line indefinitely, and that the system would ultimately be overrun. (ST video game: Legacy)

Aftermath[]

Due to Starfleet's efforts, the majority of the people of the Aurelius region were successfully rescued, transferring to warp-capable ships at Starbase 127. Their retreat from the system was covered by Starfleet. In response to this, T'Uerell openly suggested that Picard was more formidable than she had previous thought, and told him that he had successfully gained her attention. T'Uerell next appeared in the Bajoran system, leading to the Third Battle of Deep Space 9. (ST video game: Legacy)

Appendices[]

Background[]

This event functions as the thirteenth mission of the stock campaign in the video game Star Trek: Legacy. As the experience varies according to gameplay, certain details of the event may remain unclear. First and foremost, depending both on personal choice and command points achieved, a player may select anywhere from 0 to 3 additional Starfleet vessels, potentially even choosing to retain vessels from previous eras, to join the "hero" ship, in this case the Enterprise.
