The Battle of Earth was a major battle between the Undine and the United Federation of Planets, Romulan Republic, and Klingon Empire during the Undine War.

Overview

The Battle of Earth was the first major battle of the Undine invasion of the Beta Quadrant. It was actually a diversion, to make the allied Beta Quadrant forces defend Earth while the Undine achieved their true goal which was the destruction of Qo'Nos the Klingon homeworld. A combined force of Starfleet, Romulan, and Klingon starships engaged the Undine bio-ships. It was a battle which resulted in extensive damage to the Earth space dock and the lost of a number of Starfleet vessels, which ended upon the annihilation of the Undine attacking force.

Aftermath

Due to the telepathic contact established between Tuvok and the Undine impersonating Eric Cooper, they learned that the attack on Earth was a diversion and that the Undine were going to destroy Qo'Nos with one of their planet killers. The combined fleet then departed to help defend the Klingon homeworld. (STO mission: "Surface Tension")
