On stardate 84999.22 in January 2411, simulacra of Excalbian conceit broke free of their simulations and formed a merger of Control and Borg technology, leading to a battle against the Khitomer Alliance to assimilate the Excalbians. Using Excalbian simulacra to bring legendary starships to the battle, the Alliance defeated Control Borg Queen Seven of Nine, saving Excalbia. (STO - Legacy mission: "The Measure of Morality (Part 2)")

Background[]

On stardate 84999.22 in January 2411, Yarnek pulled a Khitomer Alliance starship with Captain Seven of Nine aboard from elsewhere in the galaxy into Excalbia's orbit to finish the Excalbian study on the concepts of good and evil. Seven of Nine and a simulacrum of Commander Micheal Burnham were made to proof the value of good by fighting in Excalbian scenarios. One scenario placed Seven, Burnham and their away team in an alternate reality at Essof IV in the year 2257. Control, after taking over Section 31 operative Leland and his ship, had arrived at the planet and destroyed the USS Discovery. Control turned surviving Discovery personnel into shock troops. Control and its troops attacked Burnham's team on the surface, who tried to summon the Red Angel. In the altercation, the Borg nanoprobes of Seven of Nine merged with the Section 31 nanites of Control, creating a Borg drone clone of Seven. The alternate Seven escaped and Control was incapacitated. The simulacrum of Abraham Lincoln returned with Burnham's team to Excalbia in 2411. (STO - Legacy mission: "The Measure of Morality (Part 1)")

The simulacrum Borg Queen broke free first and assimilated Colonel Hakeev into Secundus of Borg. In turn, Secundus assimilated a version of the Iconian T'Ket. During an assault on the Borg headquarters by Seven, Burnham and their team, Secundus and T'Ket were killed and the Borg drone Seven nearly defeated. The alternate Seven destroyed the Borg Queen and crowned herself. Following her defeat in ground engagements, she fled aboard a Borg octahedron she had created for herself. She summoned Borg starships to engage Seven's Alliance vessel. Commander Burnham was able to bring forth another version of the USS Discovery, alongside legendary starships and their crews. In turn, the Control Borg Queen summoned assimilated versions of the ships from previous Excalbian tests. In the ensuing battle, the Alliance forces destroyed Queen Seven and her fleet. As a result, Yarnek proclaimed that the Excalbians would adhere to the morals of "good". (STO - Legacy mission: "The Measure of Morality (Part 2)")
