The Battle of Matrix 010, Grid 19 was a cataclysmic battle near the end of the Borg-Undine War, a battle that was devastating for the Borg.

History and specifics[]

As with the previous battles that had occurred between the Borg and the Undine, the battle ended in the defeat of the Borg. The Undine destroyed eight Borg planets with their energy focusing ships, disabled 312 Borg ships, and eliminated over four million Borg drones. Facing extermination the Borg Collective directed Seven of Nine to seize control of the USS Voyager. Chakotay, as temporary captain, had broken the agreement between the Borg and Captain Kathryn Janeway when she became incapacitated. Seven of Nine was directed to take the starship into fluidic space to deliver the nanite weapon they had developed. (VOY episode: "Scorpion")
