For the primary universe counterpart, see Battle of Wolf 359.

In at least one iteration of the mirror universe, the Battle of Wolf 359 was a large-scale, military conflict which found the last defenses of the Terran Empire compromised, leaving the Imperial Starfleet and Earth vulnerable to the combined force of the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance. This battle shares a name with the counterpart universe's Battle of Wolf 359. The battle lasted for three days and destroyed 390 Terran Empire ships; killing over 110,000 of the Terran Empire's crew. After the battle the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance ships proceeded to Earth and bombarded the planet from orbit. For four days, the Klingons fired disruptors into the Great Lakes, nearly completely evaporating them. The Cardassians burned the rain forests of South America and Asia. They poisoned the oceans so the biosphere of Earth could no longer produce enough oxygen to be self-sustaining. With the conclusion of the Battle of Wolf 359 and the razing of Earth, the Terran Empire was dissolved. The planet Vulcan surrendered to the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance, but the planet was scorged anyway, although it's biosphere was left intact. (ST novel: Spectre)
