Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Inc. was a firm with its head office located on the planet Terra in the city of Chicago. It and was founded in reference stardate 1/2304. Its chartering organization was the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United Federation of Planets.

The corporation became one of the largest multi-planetary businesses that produced serums and drugs needed to fight infectious diseases. In the 23rd century, the company made a number of major medical breakthroughs during their research into new experimental compounds. One of its most notable accomplishments was the first workable, mass-produced serum designed to combat the effects of Rigellian blood-burn fever. Baxter Pharmaceuticals lead the field in manufacturing biomedical adaptive compounds and in preventative research for many diseases that afflicted the Federation.

In the late 23rd century, its President/CEO was Marin Ballantrye. It had at least two subdivisions within the company:

  • Baxter BioMetrics was responsible for prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals, and was headed by Doctor Sarah Forrester.
  • Baxter BioResearch was a division that dealt with bio-chemical research and was overseen by David MacNorman Sterling. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)
